The Jackal
The Jackal is a 1997 suspense film directed by Michael Caton-Jones and starring Bruce Willis, Richard Gere, and Sidney Poitier. It is a loose remake of the 1973 film The Day of the Jackal, although the director of that film, Fred Zinnemann, fought with the studio to ensure that this remake did not share the first film's title, and Frederick Forsyth, the author of the novel that the first film was based on, asked for his name to be removed from the credits of this film.
